Darryl is an expert in environmental permitting, compliance, project management and public engagement. For over 15 years, he has managed engineering, planning, and public affairs teams on dozens of major infrastructure projects. His education, training and professional background in environmental law and natural resource policy provide a strong foundation for his success in building a practice of noted excellence in the environmental regulatory arena. Darryl’s greatest professional satisfaction comes from identifying solutions for client problems, whether those are technical, political, regulatory, or financial.

Darryl’s interests include the development of innovative energy resources which can fuel economic growth and maintain the quality of life in the Pacific Northwest.  His experience managing the engineering, technical, and regulatory aspects of large and often controversial projects is a very useful capability for Gallatin’s clients.

Darryl completed an undergraduate degree at the University of Denver in Political Science and Public Affairs, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration at the University of Colorado before moving to Montana.  He established two offices for regional, multi‐disciplinary planning and engineering firms in western Montana before joining Gallatin Public Affairs.

He and his wife, Jennifer, are busy raising their daughter, and when time allows, they enjoy many outdoor activities, including skiing, hiking and traveling to destinations off the beaten path.
