Sara Bartles brings experience in state and federal government relations, grassroots membership coordination and research to Gallatin Public Affairs. Prior to coming to Gallatin Sara served as the legislative director at the Republican Majority for Choice in Washington, D.C. for two years. At RMC Sara focused on public policy related to family planning and embryonic stem cell research on the state and federal levels while coordinating the organization’s grassroots efforts, public relations and external communications.
Previously, Sara handled public relations for the U.S. Senate Sergeant At Arms, and worked for Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse, a nonprofit organization serving victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in eastern Washington and northern Idaho.
A native of Idaho, Sara earned a degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of Idaho. Sara volunteers for the Alexandria, Virginia Domestic Violence Program as an advocate in its battered women’s shelter and on their 24-hour crisis hotline.
