The Emissary
A Government and Political Strategist
“Success in government requires more than knowledge of politics and relationships with decision makers. From helping education, correctional and healthcare clients successfully bid for Idaho state contracts to helping the Boise Airport pass legislation to enable long-term development, I use the skills honed by nearly two decades’ experience in the political arena to help clients achieve their objectives.”
For nearly two decades Lyn Darrington has been one of Idaho’s leading government relations professionals.
First as a health policy advisor to Utah Governor Mike Leavitt’s Health Policy Commission and now as an advisor to clients on business, tax, insurance, and health policy matters, Lyn is an experienced public affairs management professional.
Prior to joining Gallatin, Lyn was assistant vice president of legislative and regulatory affairs for Regence BlueShield of Idaho, where she oversaw all state and federal public policy and state regulatory activity. A seasoned professional, Lyn has played an important role in Idaho’s health and insurance reform throughout the last decade.
Lyn earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University and a Master of Arts degree from University of Utah. Lyn is a partner in the Boise office of Gallatin Public Affairs and a member of the State and Local Government Relations and Grassroots Advocacy practice groups.
