Sydney Sallabanks, a communications expert, is a Principal in the Boise office of Gallatin Public Affairs. Her expertise includes issues and crisis management, strategic communications, media and public relations, signature events, and brand management.
For six years, Sydney served as regional communications director at University of Idaho, responsible for implementing the University’s marketing strategy, developing media relations and communications plans, and managing the University’s internal communications.
Sydney is a state board member of the Idaho Press Club, and a member of the Boise Advertising Federation, Capital City Communicators, and the Public Relations Society of America. She completed the Leadership Boise class of 2006‐2007. She has been honored as “Woman of the Year” by the Idaho Business Review and recognized as one of Boise’s “Accomplished Under 40."
Sydney is a graduate of the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism. She is a freelance magazine feature writer for several magazines, a member of the Junior League of Boise and a “big sister” with Southwest Idaho’s Big Brother/Big Sister program. She is also a founding member of Boise Little Black Dress Club, a philanthropic organization benefitting local non profits. Sydney enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughter and taking part in Idaho’s outdoor activities.
