The Campaigner
A Communications and Campaign Specialist

“In an age of 24 hour news cycles, rogue bloggers, and expanding online networks, it can be a challenge to get in front of the storm of information and craft the right message. From my time on Capitol Hill to working on local communities’ biggest issues at Metro Regional Government, I have learned that effective communication is not accomplished through a mere press release. It is a product of strategic thinking, good planning and deliberate execution.”

Being resourceful, decisive, confident in crisis situations, and adept at executing political and media strategies are just a few of the skills Megan Turnell acquired working on Capitol Hill.

Megan joined Gallatin Public Affairs’ Portland office as an Associate after working in the United States Senate as Deputy Press Secretary to Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman. At Gallatin, Megan uses her passion for the political process and her communications expertise to implement public relations, community outreach, crisis communications, event production and government relations strategies for the firm’s broad range of clients.

Megan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Oregon. Megan is an associate in the Portland office of Gallatin Public Affairs.
